1. Business cards. I had ordered a mountain of perfectly lovely cards from a supplier I'd used before, after spending an inordinate amount of time designing them. Then one night I was mucking around with a very hipster social networking print shop based in the States and decided to order these on a whim. They are pretty low res but I love the feel of them, the shape of them, the ease of them, and the seriously impressive feat of shipping - they came within 4 days (from San Francisco!).
2. Welcome Pack. Those who have booked in with Vintage Pie before know about our Welcome Pack, which I like to snail mail out to clients with a little letter and information on their upcoming shoot. The bundle also includes helpful suggestions on what to wear, a read-through contract, and invoice. While the majority of my client communication is done via the internet (email and Facebook), this step is an important one for me.
3. Boxed prints. When I was nutting out my new packages (email vintagepie@live.com for a copy) I debated whether or not to include prints in every package, but the truth of the matter is that I can't stand to see my pictures go out into the world without at least an example of what they should look like when printed professionally. I love my lab, and I love their prints. Their machines are calibrated twice daily. The staff know what they're doing. Their results are so much better than any informal print shop, and believe me when I say I've been for multiple spins around the block. That's not to say that you can't get nice prints anywhere else, but rather that your results will vary, sometimes wildly. That's why in each of my packages, smallest to largest, you will receive a beautiful box (box supplied and printed by a company in Newcastle) containing every edited image from your session. Printed professionally on Kodak Endura paper, which has an archival life of 200 years.
4. Wooden USB. Cutest thing ever! Sourced from the same company in NSW.
5. Art Mount. I have always included canvases in my packages (and loved them), but the art mount is now my FAVOURITE. It is beautiful. Totally different to a canvas with all that texture, it is instead super smooth and matte, and makes images look stunning.
What do you think of our new products? I'm so looking forward to working with them this year (and not having to torture myself any longer with samples!)
