Vintage Pie Photography : Kids clothing // A spot of window shopping

I love shopping. (Actually, previous to photography, shopping was my career; I was a fashion columnist for a local Brissy paper, working with designers and boutiques in my area each week - a rum job!)

I also love photographing kids in cute clothes and have been fortunate enough to work with labels doing this on occasion, which is a stack of fun with a really different energy to my family portraiture work.

Logging into my Facebook or etsy accounts means I am virtually assaulted by cool children's wear, so I thought I'd share some of my recent favourite finds (most of them from cool Aussie retailers/brands) in case you, like me, enjoy a spot of window/screen shopping or an occasional special splurge.

I can personally vouch for the quality of Bella and Lace; Chalk n Cheese; Sudo; Rock Your Baby; and Fozzel and Bean, having worked with/bought from them before. I've not had anything to do with Where's Boy?, but had I been blessed with little boys instead of little girls they would have been my go-to. Just really effortless and cool, not at all overdressed or too cartoony. Not listed below, but my absolute favourite for kids shoes (and my shoes - I'm currently lusting over boots) is Walnut Melbourne. I wait for their shoes to go on special (they had an awesome Sale at Christmas time last year) and then buy for my girls.They are so well made and just adorable.
